MindNET Technologies Ltd. was founded in August 2013 by two Nyenrode MBA students with the aim of improving the performance of companies in Africa through the application of appropriate technology and new business insights.
Our two founders, one Ghanaian and one Japanese, met in graduate business school the Netherlands in 2012 and after their studies decided to move to Ghana to set up a business. They initially invested in e-commerce by launching one of the first fully functional online stores in the country, which sold fashion and lifestyle products including products of notable international brands.
Later on, our founders received requests through their international network to conduct market and opportunity research studies in Ghana. Once the clients were satisfied with our reports, they asked us to do one more task or another on their behalf, and before long, we were implementing projects, engineering joint ventures, and even acting as local partners in some cases.
Today, we have built up a rich network of local and international companies that we collaborate with in a variety of business activities. Our way of working is based on a philosophy of “intelligent collaboration” which is the core value on which we founded our company –the idea that people can always achieve much more, much faster, in collaboration with others. Our name and logo is also derived from this very philosophy. The “MindNET” is a stylized representation of the left and right hemispheres of the human brain (mind). It is a (net)work of interconnected dots that represent various bits of information, as one would have it on the internet. However in this case, this interconnectivity is found within the framework of the human mind.
